The iPhone 8 is the successor of 2016’s Apple iPhone 7 having similar dimensions and layout to the iPhone 7. The build of the phone however is pretty different from last year’s iphone. IPhone 8 has a glass front with Ion-strengthened glass. On the back, it comes with gorilla glass protection. The device has an ip67 rating which can provide water-proofing up to 1 meter. The home button/fingerprint sensor is similar to previous iPhones which is a fast and secure biometric unlocking system. One noticeable change in iPhone 8 is the missing headphone jack. The iPhones of this generation have an IPS LCD display as usual. The display size is 4.7 inches with 750 x 1334 pixels of resolution offering 326 ppi of pixel density. However, the display of the iPhone 8 now supports true tone colors but there are no major display upgrades. This year’s iPhone 8 is supercharged with Apple’s A11 bionic chipset which is ridiculously powerful and efficient. Because of this efficient chipset battery life has improved significantly. The 1821 mAH battery gives 66 hours of battery timing. The in-box charger only fills 20% of the battery in 30 mins however a fast charger can be used. The iPhone 8 comes with wireless charging support up to 7.5 Watts. It delivers 5+ hours of consistent screen-on time. The speakers are 25% louder on iPhone 8 compare to last year’s iPhone. There are major camera improvements in iPhone 8 including 4K @ 60fps video recording, thanks to the A11 bionic.
